I recently just built my first computer from scratch in December, here are my specs:
FX-8320 - No Overclocking/stock fan
ASUS m5a97
Patriot Intel Extreme Master, Limited Ed 8GB memory
Diamond Radeon HD 7850 2GB Video Card
Rosewill Green 630W 80 PLUS Certified ATX12V / EPS12V Power Supply
Intel 80gb SSD
Mushkin Chronos 240GB SSD
Some 50$ case with 6 fans and plenty of airflow.
Now I am pretty satisfied with my build, it seems to work just fine for the specs and what I payed for, but I am ready for a new heatsink/fan for my CPU. It runs quite hot, around 49C idle/minimal use. Also, it is really pretty loud, much loader than the other 6 case fans.
Fan currently runs around 3700 to 4000 rpms at 49C. Mobo reads at 30C and seems acceptable to me.
Any good suggestions for someone who doesn't want to spend much (<50$) , but needs something that cools better and is quieter for the FX-8320 with no intention of overclocking?
Also, one with thermal paste and new retention brackets included would be nice because I had to use an AM2 bracket, which restricts airflow some. Thanks for suggestions! Means a lot to me!
