The default setting for my ASUS VS247H-P Monitor was 1920 x 1080 but the display didn't fit the screen. I had to change the display to 1680 x 1050 to get it to fit but then when I started gaming (on steam) the display again did not fit. I am using HDMI right now because when I try DVI nothing shows up besides the windows background, no icons or anything. For the VGA output although the cords are connected it says there is no signal. I have an AMD Radeon HD 7850 graphics card and the HDMI and DVI cords are currently connected to it. The VGA cord is connected to the motherboard.

Head into Catalyst Control Center and see if some of the display settings got messed up. You shouldn't be having those problems. Also make sure your driver is up to date.

Unless you're on Windows 8, then who knows cause there have been a lot of compatibility issues with Windows 8 and AMD.

Thanks for the help, I managed to fix the display but where can I check to see if my drivers are up to date? Is there a way to do that in the catalyst control center or is that just on the AMD website?
