Dell CPU in new MOBO

My dell xps motherboard is no longer good. can i use the cpu that is a i7-2600 in a new motherboard?

Yes. Make sure it is a 1155 socket motherboard. I also suggest you purchase a new heatsink and cooler.

Yes you can still use that CPU and even the RAM as long as you replace that motherboard with another socket 1155 motherboard. There are many great options out there, if you need help choosing one just ask.

Yes like others said as long as its the same socket. Just a warning though, you cant transfer the OS because its most likely tied to the motherboard.
