Overclockd AMD FX6100

I have currently overclocked an AMD FX6100 from 3.3ghz to 3.5ghz. I am trying to get it to about 3.9 or 4.0, i have not added a new CPU fan but I am going to get it tomorrow: Im getting this one: http://www.bestbuy.com/site/Rocketfish%26%23153%3B+-+Universal+CPU+Cooler/9462609.p?id=1218108988702&skuId=9462609&st=rocketfish%20cpu%20fan&cp=1&lp=1

Im going to post the image link of the HWmoniter and CUPID. Can you guys tell me if these number look good and if i can still clock the CPU higher. Remember though that these number are still with my stock fan. Replacing fan tomorrow.

  1. What made you choose a no name cooler brand :S?

Saw it in store, was an impulse buy hahaha. Do the temps look good tho or are they too high?
  3. They are fine though im not sure you're going to get great results with a rocket fish cooler.... if you dont get decent results try replacing the fan it comes with, using something with a higher CFM rating for better results.

Would this be a better choice?

Also had another question. Will my motherboard support higher overclocking, the mobo is not very good?
    ASROCK N68-VS3-FX
  5. That is a way better cooler, the only way to know if your motherboard can overclock higher is to test out and see how high you can get it im sure it will overclock a bit higher atleast. 990fx is the way to go for AMD overclocking though
  6. Need some help. I have currently only changed the multiplier, and vcore- the voltage, and its been working fine and stable with prime 95. Do i have to change the NB or any of the other stuff if i higher the OC even more?
  7. No just the multiplier and voltage
  8. I would run it atleast 2-3 hours, some people do 24 hours but i think thats overkill, your never going to be at 100% usage for hours on end anyways
