Is my graphics card packing up?

I do 3D modeling and drawings with SolidWorks. When I am busy with a model and I want to zoom out the software selects a small portion of the total display (approx. 15mm x 60mm) and zoom this portion only. It does the same if I try to rotate the model. In drawings it selects the small portion at the top of the screen and works with that. To correct this I have to rebuild and the display corrects itself. I have had the system for close on 3 years and this has surfaced over the past 2 months.
My system:
i7 920 (LGA 1366) on an Intel x58 SO motherboerd with 6Gb ram.
OS: Windows 7 Professional 64 bit.
Graphics card: nVidia Quadro 580 with the latest SolidWorks approved driver.

Does anyone have advice for me? Is this my graphics card or should I look elswhere?

Hmmm...sounds like a software issue to me, just out of interest, have you tried the following yet?
- Uninstall and re-install SolidWorks
- Try the latest card driver, even if it is 'not approved' by SolidWorks.
- Have a look at the 'performance' stats to see if you notice anything in particular while doing this zooming.

Do you feel you are ready for a GPU upgrade, I upgrade mine about once every 1 to 2 years and with the kind of work you do, I'd expect even a low end card would still be heaps better than your 3 year old card...

Good luck,
:)
