The laptop has Windows 8. When I plug in the Ethernet port it tried to identify network and then said "Unidentified network".
While trouble shooting I got these messages:
'Ethernet' doesn't have a valid IP configuration.
I am deployed in Afghanistan right now and we have internet in our building. It was working this morning when I was on and I came back some hours later and now no matter whose Ethernet cord I plug in the same problem occurs. I don't know how to fix it. I am not very computer savvy. My laptop picks up and connects to wifi. which it doesn't stay connected too bc of the distance but the problem is why my laptop can register the Ethernet cord and says invalid IP address when it was working fine a few hours ago. Instructions and help would be much appreciated. Thank you
