Hi

I have windows 7 professional installed on my desk top and I am trying to install Websphere Portal on it and the portal server is asking me a hostname but it is not taking the computer's real hostname.

So I go to C:\Windows\System32\drivers\etc\hosts file and add an entry there
127.0.0.1 www.myportalv.com hoping that this will resolve to my localhost.

But when I ping www.myportalv.com I am getting a totally different ip address
