What PSU is needed on this rig? is a 500W ok or a 600W? and what brand of PSU should i buy? modular or non-modular?

GPU: Sapphire HD7850 2GB-256bit GDDR5 OC Edition
Motherboard: Gigabyte Z77-U3DH
Processor: Intel Core i7-3770K
CPU Cooler: CoolerMaster Hyper612
Casing: Silverstone PS05B
Hard Disk Drive: 2 Terabyte WD Sata
Solid State Drive: 120 GB Intel Solid State HD
RAM: 2x8GB Kingston HyperX Blu

A reputable (corsair, seasonic, antec) 500w psu will be more than enough for your build.

You should be ok with the 500W but personally i'd go with the 600W just to be safe (aswell as the fact you can upgrade in the future)

from the top of my head, the system should use around 300 W - 350 W max /too lazy to count properly/. Add a 50 W just to be sure adds you to 350 W - 400 W /plus-minus something for the OC/. So, yes, a 500W will be enough.

Entirely up to you. I prefer modular for reasons of cable management. If I don't need a particular cable, I would rather not have to "hide" it. Modular is just cleaner in appearance.
