Hello, im planning to waste about $1000-$1200 in graphics card, and my question is since AMD delayed their 8000 series, should i i wait for them and once the 8970 comes out, or should i either:
a) wait for the 8970's and grab both of them(is it worth the wait?)
b) Buy one 7970
c) Buy two 7970's
Nvidia
a)Wait for the 780's and grab both of them ?

Also does anyone know when AMD is releasing their 8000 series(Desktop)? I know its in Q4, but approx. when ?
Thank you guys for your help

Kinda like asking if ya should plan a picnic for August 18th .... we just don't know what the weather will be like or how bad any storm might be.

Personally, if this round is consistent with the last two generations, the best bang for the buck will be twin 750's over any single GPU system (i.e twin 6550 Ti Boosts) and twin 770's for the enthusiast following on the 670's success....tho, twin 560 Ti's were the best deal last generation.

Two AMD cards in CF is not something I'd consider

I guess i should go for/wait the 780's? but the amd would fix the shuttering issue in the future once their new cards get release right?

firo40

Splendid

Its hard to say what amd will fix with their cards as most AMD users are used of dealing with things and dont seem to complain they love 40 fps and cpu bottlenecks
