HD 7870 or nvidia 660?

Hi there,

I want to buy a new card to play games like BF3, Crysis 3...etc

i want a card that delivers a high performance. Also which brand i should go with? ASUS? Gigabyte? or what?

7870 for single card configuration, 660 for multi GPU configuration, go for ASUS/EVGA/MSI for nvidia cards, and ASUS/Sapphire for AMD cards

@OP, read this article, 7870 is faster in Single GPU setup, 660 is better in multi GPU setup

My vote goes to the GTX 660 - MSI's TwinFrozr to be specific. I'm getting one myself, in July.

It ties or beats the HD 7870 in almost all games at 1080p. And no reason to have that long-ass DCuII cooler on that little card, IMO.

GTX 660 is a great price-performance card and the only card in that price range that Tom's Hardware recommends in their "Best Graphics Cards For The Money: May 2013". I definitely second the recommendations for the MSI Twin Frozr or Asus DirectCU.

Completely agree, 7870 out performs the 660, but some games on the 660ti beat the 7870. It is a really good value card.
