I have old HP Pavilion few years old. My old graphic card died and i bought GTX550Ti from Club3D. Notice that this card is not actually like real 550Ti. It has 3GB DDR3 memory instead of GDDR5 memory and other things a bit changed. It uses max 80W (normal 550Ti uses around 110W). I decided to also upgrade RAM and cpu. I had 2 sticks 1GB DDR2 and i added 2 more. So 4GB DDR2. I wanted to replace cpu Core 2 Duo E6550 (draws 65W) with better Quad core Q6600 (draws 115W). But i thought and realized that my old Lite-on 300W psu may not be enough when i upgrade cpu. I don't believe that 3 years old psu can hold that much even if wasn't pushed to the limit before. If i need to replace my psu i was thinking about something like this: http://www.inter-tech.de/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=112%3Asl-500&catid=49%3Aatx-netzteile&Itemid=153&lang=en

I have another question - what does amp on mean (exp: 12V rails - 30AMP)

Sorry for bad english :D

Solution
Amp is short for ampere. It's unit of measurement as as V for volt. The electrical current produce a psu is measured in watts. Watts is votage x amp. So 12v x 30 amps = 360 watts.
