Hello guys

I recently bought a new computer:

ASRock z77 Extreme 4-M (supports ram up to 2800Mhz)
Core i7 3770K
2x 4GB Kingston HyperX 2400MHz Predator
Sandisk Extreme 240GB SSD (system)
Power Supple: Corsair 500cx

I'm having a lot of headache to make the memory work correctly ...

I did not change anything in the system bios, just change the xmp profile.
Every time I activate any xmp profile on the motherboard, the system does not boot.

My ram, processor and motherboard support the xmp profiles.
Am I doing something wrong? or have any damaged part on my computer?

The way I understand it, is that the MOBO will generally show the RAM speeds supported by XMP as a specification without an (OC) next to it. I.E., my P8z77-V Pro shows RAM speeds of 1066/1333/1600/1800/2133 (I may not have accurate numbers just working on the fly)...etc. Generally the RAM is going to run at 1333 or 1600 by default, and those higher numbers indicate I can use the XMP profile to achieve that speed. However, my MOBO also supports 2400mhz (OC). From my understanding, I would have to manually OC the RAM to achieve these speeds, I cannot use the XMP profile.

I tried what you did without sucess!
the system doesn't boot and after 3 times I've acess to UEFI!

I tried to overclock manually, and with these settings:
2000mhz 9 9 9 24 1.65v
the system is able to boot, but sometimes I get BSOD with the following description PAGE_FAULT_IN_NONPAGED_AREA. which is a memory error...

when i try to increase the memory frequency up to 2000Mhz the system does not even boot!
any clues?

I think I solved the problem ...
I just switched the slots of memory and everything worked properly.
Previously memories were in the first and third slots ... I altered their position to the second and fourth slots and everything is ok ...

why when I changed the slots worked all right?
My motherboard is faulty?
