What if I used distilled water with Isopropyl rubbing alcohol as my anti-microbial, how well you think that would work?

Has anyone ever tried using distilled water mixed with some level of rubbing alcohol, Isopropyl or other to see how well it worked as an anti-microbial?

Not a good plan the alcohol will reduce the waters ability to remove heat and it will also lower the boiling point of water by itself.

just kill your fans once every couple weeks and get the loop up above 120/130f and you will never have a problem with anything growing in there.

i use distilled water no additives i don't even kill fans or anything like that as long as you fill the loop full with no air left in top of reservoir or fill pipe and its air tight nothing can grow

Isopropyl alcohol will also eat away at your components over time.
