I'm getting a happy 30-45C idle... When in prime 95 for 20 seconds its up into the 90C. After turning it off it drops back into the idle range after about 10 seconds... Help?

Perhaps you should invest in a better cooler and be sure the thermal grease is applied correctly, more is not better. If you need to reapply clean of the cpu and the heatsink of the old application completely before you apply new thermal grease. I use a Q-Tip with a little alcohol on it. You need a very thin application over just the area the CPU makes contact with the heat sink. You should be able to see thru it.

Do you have good ventilation in your case? I recommend a 12CM fan in the front to pull air in and a 12CM fan in the back to blow it out causing a steady airflow in the front and out the back of the case. Be sure on the areas for air flow input are not clogged with dirt, or dust and the case is in a area it can get good air flow.

I'm using the default stock cooler, I clean my computer constantly, I often use it for gaming, Never needed to look for an aftermarket before though. Although no there is not good airflow throughout the case, I only have $140 to spend right now though. I only have one fan in the back sucking air in, should I get another case? Aftermarket Heatsink? Or both? The current way I have my desktop case and how I like it, it could only get air through the front and top, not the back very well. If its a case problem wouldn't my idle temps be bad as well? Any suggestions?
