Installing Radeon HD7970

As I type this (on my phone) I am in the process of installing my new Sapphire Vapor-X HD7970 GHz Edition having jist upgraded from two PowerColor HD6770s in CrossFire.

I just want to verify how I need to power this thing, I have a Corsair TX650 which I have been told is suitable, but I only have two, 6-pin plugs for the card which has two, 8-pin slots. However, the packaging on the Card states the 'Connector(s) option' to be:

- 1x4-pin
- 1x6-pin
- 1x8-pin
- 2x4-pin
- 2x6-pin
- 2x8-pin
- 1x8pin + 1x6pin

Due to this I am really confused as to what exactly I need, are my 2 6-pins okay? or do I need a new plug???

Thanks,
Conor

Nope, two 8-pins - I'd post a picture but can't figure out how :p

Technically it just NEEDS 2x6pin to run, but the extra 2 pins allow for some extra power if you overclock.

So if I just use both 8-pins it will work fine? It won't damage it or anything? I took it out of its packaging and there was a massive 'STOP you must connect this card to the power supply' and I am worried I will screw it up now XD
