good gaming pc under $400

i think im about done with console gaming and want to get into pc, i dont care about running on high graphics or anything like that i just want to play and have a decent framerate, whats a good starting point and could you recommend some monitors, keyboards, speakers, and mouse not included in the 400

$400 is a tough price point for a gaming computer. There are always compromises to be made. If i was building this for myself, given your budget, this is as inexpensive as i could go without compromising the quality of the machine. Keep in mind, you also need an OS...Windows 7 (or 8 if you prefer) runs $80-100.

The other components you mentioned are very "personal preference" type of items. I can tell you what i use and prefer, but that might be different than what you would prefer. I love Logitech mice and speakers, specifically the G500 mouse and most any 2.1 speaker system they sell. I love the Microsoft Natural Keyboard 4000, but i know many people prefer standard keyboards, and many like the mechanical keys. For monitors, on the lower end, the Hanns-G line has been good to me, and if you can spend a little more, Asus makes some very nice monitors too. Good luck!
