Hello and thank you for taking the time to read this.

I just loaded windows on to my Samsung 840 SSD 250GB and it boots just fine!
The issue is that my WD 500GB black is not showing up on my list of HDDs when i pull up my computer. It shows up on device manager and in my bios as the first boot priority (i dont want it to boot from here i want it to boot from my SSD but can't figure out how to make it the main one)

my motherboard is ASUS P8Z77-V LK

another issue is that as soon as i power it on it pops up with a cpu fan error and it doesn't do anything except let me press f1 and take me to the bios. the cpu fan is running just fine though.

any ideas? i'll probably update this more as i get more and more problems with this computer haha.

Have you brought up the WD drive in "Computer Management?" It might need formatting or something. You can do it there.

You should be able to make the SSD the default boot drive in the BIOS. I make the first boot device "CD ROM." That way I can boot with a CD if need be. With no CD the comp reverts to the next in line device.

Not sure what to tell you about the CPU fan error.
