Hello all,

so first off my specs:
i5-3570k (With an H100-i)
16 GB Ripjaws 2133 Memory
2TB HDD

Those are the ones that should matter.

Everything turns on fine, the cooler, fans, I can hear the HDD spinning. Just nothing from the motherboard, it's completely dormant. The Dr. Debug shows nothing, I've tried plugging in single sticks of memory, sticks in different slots. Double checked everything, a buddy did the same and yet nothing happens.

The monitor shows no input and the debug shows no post (the debug will flash codes to show posting, no speaker). I can turn it on just fine, turning it off doesn't seem to work and I end up having to switch off the PSU.

I've read from others that this is the same case. I don't know what the issue is because I can't get ANY form of information from this motherboard. This happened to another guy and I'm going to go get it RMA'ed as a DOA.

If the next one doesn't function I'll just have to get a different motherboard since I'm unsure if I can get my money back from this motherboard. Really pissed this had to happen.

Solution
To test, I'll need you to disconnect all parts from one another. That includes the CPU, RAM, CPU Cooler, HDD, PSU, case cables, etc.

Once that is done, plug in the 24-pin motherboard power connector. Then plug in the 8-pin CPU power connector (for now but we won't use it yet). Then plug the PSU into an AC outlet and turn it on with the back IO switch. From there, press the power button on the bottom right corner. Do you notice anything?

Ok, so I went back and I noticed that I had never connected the 8-Pin CPU power connector......

Thanks man, goes to show that you shouldn't be drinking while building a computer. You just made my week. Just a stupid mistake on my part.

Hi,

Sorry to hijack the thread, but if I went through and disconnected everything, then connected the 24-pin motherboard power connector and the 8-pin CPU power connector..then plugged in the PSU and turned it on with the back IO switch, and nothing happened. Does this mean my motherboard is fried?

Thank you
