What do you guys think would be the best power supply recommendation, both in watts and already known quality, for a build consisting of an 7970 GHz Edition?

Fx 8350 along with an HDD with an SSD. Possibly a liquid cooling solution with a closed loop. -CM Seidon possibly?

Also, Anort3, thank you. I was thinking of getting the 750 watt version of that but this will do. :)

Alright thanks for the tip. I'm likely to just use one GFX card, the 7970 GHz edition so.

Alright. I'm going with the 550w from Seasonic that anort posted, though. I love the fully modular design, I'm sure the cables have the proper length, and I know Seasonic are out of this world in their respective field.

Yups sesonic is also good choice . But 550w PSU will be not enough if he chose crossfire or sli in the future that's why I suggested 650w PSU my friend.

The G series is a very good value. Top quality performance and modular design with a great price. You can't go wrong with it or any Seasonic.

Yeah except 650 is not enough either. Making a 650w unit a bad buy. More money than he needs to spend and not enough power for future Crossfire.

I don't think so .
I used 650w which I mentioned . It is enough for holding two gpus.
It is also modular. I never needs more Power for anything. My build was rocking with 650w PSU.

You do understand different cards use different amounts of power right???? OP asked about the HD 7970Ghz edition not a low power GTX 660. You can easily run 2 x GTX 660s on 600 watts.
