i cant play call of duty 7 black ops on hd 5450

i have got
AMD Athlon ii x3 445 processor at 3.10 GHz
4.00 GB RAM
Windows 7 Ultimate 64 bit..and Powercolor ATI Radeon HD 5450...
I have got games like call of duty 4 mw , mw2 , mw3, and many more and can play these gammes on high settings with AA on 2x without any lag....but COD:BO lags like hell .. I cant play this game even in low resolution... I hv updated game but still problem continues...i have got COD:WAW...and it plays like charm but why i couldnt play cod7...help....i hv checked vids on cod7 plays like charm on hd 5450...on youtube...i m just troubled...help...

The 5450 is a very low end card as well as your CPU being low end as well. All those games that run like a charm are pretty ancient. Upgrade your hardware.

I've had this problem, too. :heink:

I noticed that it started when I installed Catalyst 12.7 drivers. But back when I was using 11.7 (I think?) the game played smoothly. If you really want to play the game, you could roll back drivers, I guess? But then, the setback that that would cause other games (the current drivers really boost performance on the latest games) cancel out the pros. :no:

Besides, your hardware is a little old, already. Maybe it's time for an upgrade?

Simple answer is the HD 5450 is not meant for gaming.
Try to get at least HD 6670 or HD 7750 if you're on a budget.

Yes. But sometimes I think the drivers just mix up things. I'm sure an HD 5450 can handle CODBO; it's not really a very demanding title. But I really think it's the drivers messing it up. At least that's what happened to me before.

And this. There are HD 7750s out there that sell for less than $100. Really, the best thing to do right now would be to upgrade.
