This is a password issue we can help with because you need to be cabled to a router to make major changes. Many routers have admin as the login name and password as the password so try those first. If this has been password protected beyond the manufacturer's default, you won't be able to get in. What make and model is this router?

I think you need router drivers and a LAN cable to change pass i am not sure

No drivers required but the cable is essential. You could only access wirelessly by already knowing the security key (password) and that's why it's one kind of password problem with which we are allowed to help.
