Hello,

Your system supports both DDR2 and DDR3.

DDR2 and DDR3 memory cannot be installed simultaneously. Hence, I would like you to remove the existing memory and try installing the new memory alone in the DDR3 slot.

Make sure whether your existing (original) memory is DDR2 or DDR3 memory in case you are mixing them. Before trying this, if you can update your motherboard's BIOS that would be better. Let me know if you need any more info.

Good luck!

Thanks for the info :)
I tried with the DDR3 memory installed only, but the system just keeps turning on/off (Display is not turning on)
Let me try to update the BIOS and check if it works

Well, I have updated the BIOS, but still it doesn't work :(

Previously I had DDR2- 1GB x 2

And now I'm trying to install a DDR3- 4GB PC3- 10600 CL9 240-PIN RAM

Are all the DDR3 RAMs SDRAM or DRAM?

Hi again,

If you don't hear any beeps, then better unplug the connectors, reseat the modules. Also, remove and insert the CMOS battery to change to factory defaults. The specification is correct and should work. It can only be a loose connection between cables or a leakage in the memory cells.

Let us know what happens. Good luck!

Well I don't hear any beeps, it just turns on and goes off repeatedly ( no display, no beep , just the fans)

I have removed the cables/ CMOS battery , but still it's not working :(

BTW, thanks

Any help pls?

its because this motherboard only support DDR3 1066Mhz only. not DDR3 1333MHz. but u can OC'ing your memory DDR3 1066MHz to 1333MHz.
