do i need to do anything when i replace my 3570k with a 3770k?

i am buying a 3770kk to replace my 3570k, do i need to change any drivers or anything? hopefully i dont need to reinstall windows but i just dont know.

any ideas?

No. Sometimes with new processors you would have to update the bios. I doubt you'll have to do that.

One thing which I'm sure you are aware of, the 3770k will boast little to no performance increase in gaming over the 3570k. Unless you are doing massive video rendering, graphic creation, or VMs, you are wasting your money.

I don't think this is a wise upgrade. But if you are set on upgrading, I'll send you my address for that 3570k.

ya i understand. i work at a computer shop so i really should know this haha

but i just got a good deal to sell my 3570k and buy a 3770k so im going for it.

i do some video editing and am getting into music production as well.

hopefully in the next year or so games start utilizing more than 4 "cores" as well.

couldnt hurt ;)
