Hi

could anyone advice as to the best or any 801.11a USB dongle on broadcom chipset which is supported but linux/android system?

I have a project which require "a" standard and usb dongle (it's for tablets)
and can't find a right one. It looks like 802.11a devices are obsolete nowadays
not to mention linux support.

Any other options are not good for me, I'm specifically after 5GHz 802.11a and USB dongle and with linux/android support/drivers.

Thanks to all that can help me.

You can force most of the devices to run in 'a' standard. If a device supports 'b' and 'g' it almost certainly can be set to run in 'a' mode.

For a list of wireless chipsets supported on linux refer to:

Much appreciated for your answer.
We have developer giving us a hand with programming tablets
and all associated devices. I'll asked them if they can force
any "abg" device to work in "a" mode.
