Hi everyone, I'm having an issue with my graphics card, hopefully somebody can offer some advice!

I have just built a new PC running Windows 8 Pro -

Gigabyte GA-Z77N-WIFI Mini ITX Motherboard
Intel Core i5 3570K
Corsair CMX8GX3M2B1600C9 8GB (2x4GB) DDR3
HIS Radeon HD7950 IceQ Boost Clock 3GB
Seasonic G-550 80Plus Gold 550W PSU
Samsung S27A950D 120Hz 3D LED Display

Windows and normal applications run just fine, but when I load a game in Steam (Tomb Raider or Hitman: Absolution) I can play for a couple of seconds, sometimes up to a minute and then the game crashes and quits.

I have tried running both games at 'normal'
I have tried running the fan at 100%
I have tried dropping the GPU clock back top 850MHz (from 925MHz)
Still the same result.

Most of the time it just quits but twice the screen has gone black, the computer freezes and the GPU fan goes crazy.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!
Cheers
