Hello;

I recently added a defect H100i to my build and it somehow ruined my CPU fan power connector. The problem with the H100i, was that the corsair unit thing didn't have one of it's components plugged into it's component-board (not sure what it's called).

Anyway, my CPU fan power connector wont work, so I've had to plug my CPU fan into one of the "SysFans", which works.

What I'm afraid of though, is that my system is unstable and somehow something will go wrong.

Should I get another motherboard, or am I safe?

Most times you will be ok because system fan's will speed up under load as well.

I have my cpu fans plugged into system fan headers because my cpu fan header will not control the speed of 3 pin fans. Been that way for years without issues.

Just keep an eye on the temps to ensure the fan or fans are speeding up as needed.
