Im trying to setup my new pc and the only screen I have is a tv, I'm trying to use hdmi but the tv is not recognising that I have them plugged in.
I have tried different hdmi leads and different tv's. I have also tried the different hdmi slots the computer itself with no success.

Please help:(

Solution
what gpu are you using? does it have onboard? If it has onboard graphics as well you will need to tell the bios to use the gpu you installed but it will look crappy till you get the drivers installed.

also try re-seating your card as well as check the power cable to the card if applicable

My gpu is the radeon hd 7750, CPU is amd fx 8350 and the motherboard is the gigabyte 78lmt-usb3.
I can't get an image at all so I can't go into the bios and change any settings

hmm so since its amd theres no onboard. the only other reason of no video is memory. reseat your memory in different slots and try again. when memory is seated wrong or bad you will not get video. no beeps or anything though? you should be getting warning beeps from no video

Just reseated the ram and no beeps, no image still.
Which port should I put the hdmi in, motherboard or gpu?

is this an old or new board? i didnt know any newer amd boards had onboard graphics? you will need to plug into the mobo but usually it will pick up that you have a card installed and default to that over onboard

It must be new then, I brought it pre built as I'm not good with the specs. It says hdmi ready on the motherboard so I'm presuming it has on board graphics

If you have a dedicated GPU installed in your rig the onboard GPU will be disabled and hence it will not output any thing from the onboard. Make sure you have the HDMI cable plugged into the dedicated GPU and then power on the PC. Also make sure you have any PCI-E power cables plugged into the GPU if needed. Not sure about low end cards but I do not think the HD 7750 needs PCI-E power cable but check the card to make sure.
