my G930 headset, from Logitech, has problems with either connecting to my computer or the driver is screwed up. what happens is i turn it on with the USB cord plugged in and it gets a static noise for about a second (and has the green wireless light turn on) then it all shuts off except for the microphone. i don't know if the microphone works but the red light at the end of it is on.

I have read quite a few forum posts on Logitech's website but no one seems to have a right solution.

i read that it might be the driver with AMD motherboards but it still seems to not be that.

my build is:
ASUS Sabertooth 990 FX
Phenom II Black edition 975
EVGA GTX 570

give a better list here in a bit (need to look)

any help trying to figure out the problem with this would be much help

cheers,

Phlukefenny aka Lucas

Hi Lucas,

A possible explanation for the odd behavior is wireless interference. The Wireless Gaming Headset G930 has an auto shut off feature that triggers when it doesn't detect any audio playing. If the headset got temporarily disconnected from the receiver due to wireless interference, the auto shut off feature will trigger due to the lack of audio output. To avoid similar issues in the future, try moving other wireless devices away from the receiver and the headset. If you are using a wireless router, try switching the channel of the router. In case you encounter the same issue again you can try resetting the wireless connection between the USB receiver and the headset. Press the reset button (pin hole) on the USB receiver, then turn the headset on or if the headset is already turned on, turn it off, then on. Plugging the receiver to a different USB port can also help.

For additional troubleshooting steps, you can also check this thread: http://forums.logitech.com/t5/Headphones-Headsets-Microphones/G930-sound-distorted-and-connection-lost-every-few-seconds/td-p/995603

Im getting a similar problem. Some static noise, while plugged in. Software UI says "Fully charged". So the headphones power off. I decided to unplug them and same thing, static and it power off. Nothing i can do. Im wondering if their defective.
EDIT: i just killed Lcore.exe. and powered down, and turned on the device. and it once again worked.

Okay, here is what I have Discovered and seemed to clear up the disconnecting issue. They run on the 2.4GHz frequency and so did my wifi router. I have one that can push our 5GHz so i just went into the settings for the router and disabled the 2.4GHz frequency. Now if you cannot get away from the 2.4GHz still go into the router settings (if you don't know, it will be with a strange URL.. something like 10.0.0.1, that was mine) and some where in there should be an option to change the channel that it uses. Try that out. If the problem persists keep trying new channels and if that doesn't work then i assume the head phones keep changing to the same channel as the router (if that's possible). Hope it works for you like it has been for me.

I noticed that my g930 worked all good before the windows startup programs. So I made so windows starts nothing more than Nvidia panel and it seems to work now.
