I just downloaded Speedfan(V4.49) and the configuring aspect looks very daunting
I have read a few guides but I still am quite confused

I really need anyone with any experience in this area to guide me through the configuring process to optimise my fan speeds.
I would like to have a nice quiet rig at idle and don't mind having them at 100% during long gaming sessions as I wear headphones.

I Have one Enermax ets-t40 cpu cooler, cooling my i5 3570k
A front 200mm fan which runs at around 730rpm on full
A top Sharkoon Silent Eagle running at around 930rpm
And finally a back fan at 1155rpm

Any help setting this up would be very much appreciated!

Hi,

Speedfan is, in my opinion, more of a temperature monitoring tool than a fan controller because it doesn't work with all gear out there.

Also it's open source so their are bugs in it and is not as accurate as other programs.
Your best bet is to use the program that comes with the motherboard

Thanks for the reply.
At the moment I am in the H/W Monitor of my bios and am about to set the setting to automatic mode
Could you help me determine what my target temps and fan speeds should be
This is if I don't use speedfan of course
