It seems to be, although my PC just locked up completely and i had to hard reset it.

I also did a brief test with Black Ops II and discovered some texture rendering issues but i'm sure those are just the result of a misconfiguration somewhere on my end.

Can you enlighten me a little more on the LEDs? Red is never good, and i hope i don't end up blowing my PC due to power issues. I'm 2 months away until i can afford a top end one and i plan to! Right now i have http://www.ebuyer.com/product/254075 . Which i know is really bad.

Your card runs in several different "power phases". When all the lights are lit up it is in full power gaming mode, and I'm assuming they turn off as power is decreased. As far as you texture problems go, there could be many different issues, just make sure you have the latest drivers for your card from Nvidia and play with the in game settings a bit.

The red LEDs are nothing to worry about. I had your exact card for more than a year, had some driver issues with it, but mechanically a good card. My advice about the fan switch would be to run in performance mode, those cards tend to run a little hot under load.

Thanks alot bdiddy.

My PC has just locked up again. Second time in 30 minutes - never happened before only since installing the GPU. Do you think this could be my lack of a decent power supply?

If so i could get a decent branded 500w one ordered for tomorrow which will do the job!

As far as your PSU goes I can't fight a tech sheet on it, so I don't know how it will perform, but usually they are cheap for a reason lol. I would definitely pic up a more reliable and stable one if you get the chance. Corsair is the brand I usually buy, and you can get a good stable 500-600W from them with a good amount of Amps for 60$ US sometimes. Other makes to consider would be Antec, Seasonic, Enermax.

sounds good, give it a try :) A stable PSU is one of the most important parts of your PC. I'll keep this thread attached to my email, so if you install the new PSU and it still locks up, just post back on here and we can go through your bug reports and see if we can figure out any further issues.

Core is 40 Idle, 58 Loaded with Black Ops II, and that's with fan speed on auto currently at 50%. I like the card so far, it's silent compared to my noise Gigabyte Windforce 550ti that i had.
