Hey Guys,

I would like to upgrade my hd 6850, to a gtx 670 but I am really unsure as to which type of card is the best to get. I have checked other forums but to no avail. I would really appreciate if someone could share some light on this issue. Also, money is not an issue here as I have been saving up but also, I am still questioning whether the card would be ok in my current set up as seen below.

I have been looking at some 670's for example http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/ASUS-GeForce-GTX-670-DirectCU-II-TOP-2-GB-GDDR5-PCI-Express-3-0-/151046661037?pt=UK_Computing_Computer_Components_Graphics_Video_TV_Cards_TW&hash=item232b1523ad. Correct me if I am wrong but is this the same card as this, http://www.techpowerup.com/reviews/ASUS/GeForce_GTX_670_Direct_Cu_II/33.html

Or http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/evga-gtx-670-ftw-New-sealed-graphics-card-/121113548173?pt=UK_Computing_Computer_Components_Graphics_Video_TV_Cards_TW&hash=item1c32ee158d. I just want the best card for a 670. Im becoming familar with overclocking but that would be a plus for the future. I have been told the first link I have given is the best type of 670 I can get but there are other types but Im not sure on this part. Also would my current setup be ok for the card or would I need to for example upgrade the PSU? Heating be a problem etc, any factors to be taken into account? Btw Im from UK.

AMD Phenom II X4 955 Black Edition Socket AM3 3.8GHz 8MB L3 Cache CPU

- Coolermaster silent 80plus Certified Efficiency PSU 400w

- 8GB Dual Channel G-Skill RIPJAW DDR3 1600MHz

- AMD ATi Radeon HD 6850 1GB GDDR5 PCI-E Graphics Card

- Asus M4A88T-V EVO/USB3 880G CrossfireX Motheboard

-Coolermaster Elite 430 All Black Interior Mid Tower Case with Side Window

Thanks Guys

Thanks for the reply. Yea Im rallying towards this one and will need a new PSU but if I do this would my system run smooth without no problems? Its only because I no this card is a beast but Obviously my specs arnt as special. Im looking for a huge GPU upgrade then in time will proceed towards the cpu and board.

Thanks. I prefer modular to be honest, dont want unnecessary cluter. Also would there be any other problems if I were to buy the GTX 670 one that I listed or is there any other alternative?

If you are eventually going to upgrade other components, that card is pretty sweet in the price range. The only question is if you want to wait until the GTX 770 and GTX 760 Ti are released to see if prices change.

Thanks for the all the replies. Wow, Gtx 770... lol I didnt even think that far but I might just wait for a week or so just to see the prices matto17secs. Yes Im thinking about upgrading other components later on but I really want to upgrade the GPU and PSU. , but howmuch do you think the price would go down if I were to wait? Im thinking of getting the gtx 670 ftw version instead of asus

Quick Q.. Would this still be big upgrade considering the fact that my cpu is not all that good? Going to be playing on a 1680*1050

I don't think we'll see price drops until the GTX 760 Ti hits in early June, which is apparently a week or two away.
