ssd drive disk boot failure

hi there i recently bought a ssd drive to add to my system to put windows onto. the problem im having is ive installed windows onto the ssd drive and it wont boot up when i change the bios to that drive, am i going to have to completey format my old drive to get rid of all the old software for the new version to load properly

when you install windows to the ssd, did you unplug the other hdd?

no i left it as it i was should i unplug it

Yep and plug it into the first SATA port typically (may want to check mobo manual for preferred boot slot if there is one).

sometime, it would install boot partition on the hdd.
Since it is not working anyway. unplug everything but the SSD, and reinstall windows to it.
once that done, try boot to it. Then, if that works, plug the HDD back.
