Hi all, I'm a new convert from console to PC and am looking to buy a build my first, proper gaming rig. On a budget of about £1000 excluding monitors, of which I want 3 (hence the two cards). A friend of mine has told me about a step up programme where you can trade in your current GPU for the latest model. So my question is...
If I buy two GTX 660s would I eventually be able to upgrade them both at the same time to 770s when they arrive?

As rex4235 said I think you only have 90 days from registration to step up so not alot of time really. The best thing to do would be to get cards that would do you for awhile without having to worry about stepping up. For 3 1080p monitors I would get two GTX 670 that would give you all the power you really need for 3 1080p monitors at a resolution of 5760x1080. I have a SLI Gigabyte GTX 670 setup and have not had any problems with them. I can play any game I have that supports Surround at 5760x1080 ultra/max settings with no problems. Rest of my rig in sig.

Yes, but like I said, when it comes time to step up, you'll only have "reference" cards to choose from... 750,760,780 etc... I wouldnt rely on that, who knows what they may do, EVGA could do away with the whole program tomorrow. I just wouldnt use that program as an upgrade path..

Also, I think you have 30 days from the purchase date on the invoice to register. So whatever you want to upgrade to will have to be released/ available for step up within 120 days from your purchase. You know you also have to pay the difference in the costs too, right?
