Do you think that I should wait to build my first gaming pc until later in the year?

With Metro: Last Light looking so amazing and requiring more than a 7950 to run over 30fps at high settings, should I wait until some newer cards and possibly cpu's come out to build my first gaming pc? I was also thinking of how the new consoles, like the new xbox and new ps4 are coming out, I am thinking that some more advanced games are going to come out that require better graphics, and I really don't want to buy a $300+ graphics card, just so that I can replace it with something that can run the newest games 6 months later, maybe I am just being paranoid, Opinions???

Goodeggray could you explain why waiting makes a lot of sense right now? Are there new graphics cards coming out in the next year or so that will blow the current gen out of the water?

Well, intel's new chips, the haswell series are coming this June. And in about quarter 3 or 4, AMD should be releasing their new gpu with a 20nm architecture. The new gpu is rumored to have specs 2x that of a 7970. But nonetheless it will be a vast improvement due to a much more efficient architecture. Apparently they will also be bundling bf4 with it if that interests you at all. I would say wait until the end of the year if you can.
