Okay so I built my first pc a couple weeks ago. It worked on very first start up, haven't had so much as a hiccup out of it since. Suddenly it hits me with a "Reboot and select proper boot device or insert boot media in selected Boot device and press a key." message on startup. I do hours of trouble shooting, changing Boot Discs and all kinds of things, nothing works. So I figure my only option is to reformat the disc. Reformatted it, but now windows is saying it cannot be installed to the disc (I only have 1 btw, a SSD device that again, has worked perfectly up till now since it's very first start up) because it's of the GPT partition style. Even though it worked just fine this morning when I powered it on. Wtf is going on? Is the SSD just defective?

Solution
I found sandisc problematic. not saying they're all bad but............... I have one that I formatted and use as storage............ and I don't use it..............LOL

Yes it is a Sandisk :[. I've pretty much concluded that the it is defective, and have ordered a new Corsair one. Luckily the warranty on this one is still valid, and hopefully I can at least milk a new (possibly?) non-defective one out of them and use it as a very fast slave drive or restore disk.

P.s. It wouldn't let me enable or disable anything. Or if it did I probably tried it and it didn't work. All the cables were fastened, and I swapped all of them out so I know they are all secure and functional. There is no floppy, and it doesn't show up in the boot order. And yes the SSD and dvd-rom show up in that order, but the disk just doesn't boot.
