So I cloned my main C: drive to a new fresh hard drive today so I could not worry about my old drive dying on me since its been making a lot more noise than usual recently. I cloned to what I thought was a 160gb hard drive that my dad said I could use. I grabbed the wrong drive and accidentally cloned to one of his nice 1tb hard drives that he was going to set up an OS on for a friend. Yes I know a totally stupid and blind moment for me for not checking that I had the right drive..... but now I'm trying to completely wipe the drive and return it to as close to factory fresh conditions. I already deleted the 74.48gb NTFS on it and now I'm left with the 39MB FAT on it. I'd like to know how to delete the FAT on it so it would literally be an empty drive so my dad can use it for his purposes. If it is at all useful I am running Windows XP Pro SP3 and I have access to a Windows 7 machine if it is necessary. I'd just like to delete the FAT file so I can move on and next time clone my current data from this drive to the correct hard drive.

Keep in mind please that I am truely a novice when it comes to computers and I only have 10 years of computer use and 2 years of actual knowledge about computers. In addition I know only the basics and a little bit more that there is about hard drives, so if I say something stupid please bear with me and maybe even explain what I'm doing wrong so I could learn how to become better at dealing with problems like this and so I can become better at maintaining my computer.
