Advice on build please

I am slightly over budget, suggestions on anything I can change without it having a detrimental effect on performance?

Case: Galaxy 3
Motherboard: Asus P8Z77-V
CPU: i7-3770K
Graphics: GTX 570 GS
HDD: Seagate Barracuda 2TB
RAM: 8GB Gskill Ripjaws
PSU: Corsair CX600
Cooler: CM Hyper 212
Optical Drive: LiteOn DVD-RW
Sound Card: Creative Sound Blaster X-Fi
OS: Windows 8

Hmm.... you should just get a regular 3770 and not the 3770k. it's $20-30 cheaper and there is no performance difference since you're not overclocking. You would also save some money on the motherboard too.

And since you're just doing editing, i wouldn't even recommend a graphics card either (unless you're playing games)

Thanks. Do you think I really need a P8Z77-V for this build or could I save some money by going with a cheaper board
(P8Z77-V LX, P8Z77-M, P8Z77-V LK, P8H77-I) ?

if you're not overclocking, then you don't need a Z77 motherboard. you can save at least $40 by getting a H77 motherboard.
