Hey. I need a recommendation for a GPU.
My budget is $150 max. I'm getting a 700W PSU, so power supply shouldn't be a problem. And I don't care whether it's AMD or nVidia, any one will do.

As you probably guessed from my budget, I won't be doing heavy gaming. Maybe Crysis 3 of BF3 at low or lowest settings? Medium if possible? I also do Photoshopping and Editing videos here and there. Basically, what would be the best gpu in that price range?

Thanks ^_^

Here are your best possible choices for a 150$ budget should be enough for recent games with a decent fps.

Asus 7790 DC2O 1gb-128bit

Saphhire 7790OC 1gb-128bit

Evga gtx650ti boost 1gb-192bit

GTX650TI Boost will be the best option since its a recently introduced gpu, plus it comes with a larger memory interface compared to others. according to nvidia datasheets it offers decent gaming with stable fps on 1080p resolution. its not a blazing fast gpu but a really good budget solution.

here is a Anandtech performance comparison between hd7850 and gtx650ti boost

computing wise, 7850 is a better GPU with a higher budget but for gaming 650ti-b is a better solution shown on graphs

^ Absolutely agree with this. Here is a list of power you need for every card you can run. This is for the entire system not just the card. It includes plenty of headroom for overclocking as long as you buy a quality PSU.

Stick with Corsair, Seasonic, PC Power an Cooling, XFX, Silverstone, Enermax, OCZ and Antec for a quality PSU.

Depends on the card. Many lower end cards are not powerful enough to use 2GB. The extra VRAM is mostly for marketing although it can help with non gaming multiple displays.

It depends what you are doing but the extra vram is not so useful on a 128 bit interface. But if you are driving multiple displays on a workstation or something the 2gb is probably the way to go.

most supports openCL too... so regardless of what he picks, he'll be covered.
