Why do you have a dual channel kit for the 2011 socket, and a quad channel for the 1155 socket ?

The first build is better. Also why are you flip flopping on the storage ? On the first build you need 3TB, but in the second you're fine with 1TB ?

Get the Plextor regardless of build. And I'd get a more efficient PSU, gold rated at least. You can also save on the Mobo

Really no need for a 3770k, nor 16gb of RAM for a gaming rig.
