Hello, I want to purchase a new video card because my 620 isn't cutting it any more. I have around a $150 budget. What will be the best card I can get for $150?

I want to play games like Battlefield 3 & 4, Planetside 2 and Skyrim at 1080p. How would the certain card you recommend handle those games on high and ultra settings?

Thanks!
Jake

Solution

no personal experience but from the general consensus msi cards seem to be very good especially with the twin frozr coolers that come on most of their cards

I've seen that. What's the major difference between the 650 ti and the boost edition? Just overlocked?

Do you have any experience with MSI video cards? I know it's a good motherboard brand but do they make good video cards?

well that and more ROP's and memory bandwidth.

the purpose of that list is to identify the best type of graphics cards at that price point. Once you know what type of card you want, then you go to Newegg or Amazon or other online E-tailers to see the different brands that are using the basic card you want. Then you get to choose what brand and price you can afford.

Good Luck!

GTX650ti boost actually use the same GPU as on GTX660, therefor along with raw performance increase over normal GTX650ti, Boosted edition also support boost clock and SLI.

For $150 I suggest hunting for a deal on a 2gb version of GTX650ti boost. 1gb versions do come at $150, thou.

Awesome! From a little bit of research from the card I'm impressed. It will do great in my build. Thanks for your help!
