Okay so i'm going to be building a brand new gaming computer for myself this summer probably mid june to early july and would like to know whats best, would also consider buying a monitor but no keyboard or a mouse as i have both of them already.

Current Budget:800 to 900 Dollars maybe 950

Components:ATI (graphic card) and Intel (CPU)

With monitor?:Yes (Nothing bigger than "19)

RAM:I know more than 8GB would be useless so probably 6Gigs are enough for me

Building a PC to:play video games on high not ultra and High-Def editing, probably emulating too (especially PS2)

Thanks guys!

Ive seen a ton of gaming builds use this i5 and it gets the job done pretty well. You get 4 free games with the gpu so this is a great deal. Ive also fitted an ssd into the budget. Since you ddnt mention some serious overclocking i added an air cooler instead of a liquid cooler. You can still do some good over clocking with this cooler though. Good luck on your build man. :)

Wait & check Intel 4th gen family. If they become costly then check 3rd gen because when haswel comes the price of ivy bridge will be go down u will get better CPU , mobo, because with 4th gen CPU the z87 chipset mobos will be comes , so z77 chipset mobos price will go down & also u will get better GPU because Nadia launched gtx 700 series GPUs so its 600 series price will be go down in a moth.
So wait & watch for the best build my friend.

Ivy bridge will not go down. If they do, then maybe by just a few dollars. Hell they could even go up. A good example are the core 2 quads those things still coset around 300$ and its a 45nm chip that was released about 5 years ago. The sandy bridges arent even dropping which is kinda understandable.

Hii my friend
Ur other every part is good without CPU and mobo. I thick Asus P8Z77-V LK is better mobo than this and also CPU 3570k is better than 3470. Because we can't oc i5-3470 and also it have only hd2500 graphics. So i5-3570k is better than i5-3470.

I forgot the monitor lol. I took out the ssd so i could fit the budget. Ssds arent really useful when it comes to gaming performance so yeah. A 7200rpm hdd will suffice. :)

You will need a CPU cooler to overclock, however with a pretty low cost cooler such as the Hyper 212 Evo ($30) you are looking at like 4 Ghz easy. With more expensive coolers ($50+) you can see as high as 4.5 Ghz
