i found another one for you. its very ergonomic, you can use your whole body to move it...

again, joking aside...

the razer has 6400dpi the other has 3600. technically this allows for more precise movement however turning it way up will also increase mouse speed (unless you adjust it down) and can actually make the mouse on screen more jittery since your hands tremble slightly even when relaxed. i typically only use a resolution between 800 and 2000 and that was sufficient for even the fastest paced game scenario i could think of.

namely unreal tournament on godlike difficulty with 30 bots in a small arena and game speed +50%. it...
i use a deathadder myself (pre 2013 version) and its just about the perfect size with perfect location of buttons for me.

i am not a fan of the new razer synapse 2.0 software which you need to use with the 2013 model (my model uses drivers only not that silly software).

you could of course use it without the drivers and use just the windows drivers.... but you lose the ability to change dpi and turning the logo glow on/off.

joking aside....

the deathadder is a larger mouse and many people complain about it being too big. for those with average guy sized hands who palm the mouse though it is the perfect size. since you say you have huge hands the mouse may feel a little small however since it is a larger sized mouse the alternatives may be worse. you may not be able to palm the mouse depending on how huge your hands are (are we talking shaq sized here?) but can probably use it with a finger grip or claw grip.

honestly it is best to go to a store and try them out if at all possible. since razer products are very common a local store should have them depending on where you live.

namely unreal tournament on godlike difficulty with 30 bots in a small arena and game speed +50%. it worked fine. the same settings also worked fine for sniping, windows tasks and other games.

the razer does have more buttons and i would highly suggest having the extra buttons like the razer. two extra on the side is sufficient in most cases unless you play mmo games.

keep in mind what i said about the razer synapse software drivers. my brother uses it and he seems fine with it but personally i find it pretty bad. it pops up all the time and needs to sync to the cloud to get your device settings (yeah why the hell would you need that?) and it requires that you register personal data with it (an email address i think) for a razer account. you could always use it without the drivers though (you lose adjustable dpi and ability to change the glowing logo) but other than that it will act fine.

other mice you may want to consider are the gaming mice by logitech (prefixed with G) and the corsair gaming mice. i've heard good things about the logitech mice and the corsair mice. i think both are a bit smaller than the deathadder.

also dont waste money on a hard mousepad. they are expensive and a waste of money for no performance gain. in fact they eat away at the teflon feet on your mouse pretty fast. go with a standard cloth mouspad preferably black.

this is what i use for a mousepad...

....

i found you a hell of a deal....

$40 for an open box for the old style razer deathadder (not the new 2013 version) which they still have regular drivers for (instead of needing synapse 2.0). this is what i personally use...

the old mouse drivers has a screen which allows you to adjust the buttons, dpi, etc. i used the older drivers for awhile and they were very easy to use. i do not use any drivers right now and the mouse works fine like this as well but you lose the ability to turn on/off the glowing logo and adjust dpi. its a personal choice not because of any driver issues.

razer synapse 2.0 for the new 2013 mice has a different interface which i dont think is as easy to navigate. my brother has a naga hex which requires this software so i have dealt with it firsthand. essentially it offers the same options as the old drivers however it stores information on the razer cloud which requires you to create an account with them. every single time you turn your pc on a window pops up where it attempts to connect to the cloud on the internet and retrieve information. it is very annoying and i dont see the need to store information online instead of just saving the settings locally like the old drivers do. oh and the software is buggy and i've heard of a few cases where it wasnt working correctly. you could of course use the new mice without drivers.

in general:

old drivers > new drivers
