games lagging GTX...need help

hi, i bought a zotac GTX 650 1gb but the games where laging.. games like battlefield 3 , assassin's creed 3.. past i used a 9500 gt.. In 9500gt i was played battlefield 3 @ medium...
and my cpu is not a good one, it is intel pentium dual core e5200, 2.5ghz..
Is this cause the pblm?????
but in gtx am able to play auto IV @ good..past i unable 2 play in 9500gt...!!

spec:

pentium dualcore e5200
2.5ghz
intel dg31pr board
3gb ram
coolermaster 500w PSU
1 tb hd
18.5 LED
nvidia zotac gtx 650 1 gb

can anyone help me??thnx in advnce

Im afraid your CPU is a major bottleneck. All you can do is try lowering your settings or resolution . And make sure you do a clean driver install to ensure your card is functioning normally.

i tried 2 play in lower resolution...but same situation..!!!!!!

And the drivers are installed perfect...

you played bf3 in med with that? my gtx 560Ti played bf3 in medium, but that is 50-70 fps
or is that single player?
but yeah, your cpu is slow for that, too old

I really don't want to sit here and try and figure out what processors you can use on that board. but to answer your question, no, I wouldn't replace a pig with a pig and an i5 would NOT fit on that motherboard.

think about replacing the mobo/ram/proc. all in one shot with something more modern............ and try and get at least a 3.0 quad core.

so what you are saying is you ARE going to replace the motherboard/cpu and ram at the same time? the 2120 is 1155 socket isn't it? not the same as the board you have though.

if you're going to replace the processor ( DO NOT BUY ANOTHER DUAL CORE PROCESSOR ). it's just a waste of money.
