Over-clockable i7. Plenty of fast RAM. Fast and reliable SSD.
Graphics card has 2x DVI, 1x HDMI and 1x VGA. So you have 3 digital outputs and 1 analog. Also have the option to SLI as the motherboard supports it and the PSU has plenty to spare. Tbh you could drop that to a 650W PSU and still have more than enough.

As all builds posted so far are very similar I will try to summarize the common parts and why I think they have been chosen (at least why they were included in my build).

CPU - i7-3770k
4 cores, 8 threads. Fast, overclockable, not overly expensive. It's really the only sensible choice for this build.

GPU - GTX 650ti (boost or non-boost, depending on budget)
Good price, good performance, has the 3 digital outputs you require. There is no need to spend any more on a GPU for video editing as the benefits will be minimal.

SSD - Samsung 840 Pro or OCZ Vector
Two of the best commercial SSD's available right now. Fast and reliable.

Motherboard
The Z77 chipset allows you to over-clock, gives you 6GB SATA ports for the SSD and most now come with USB3 headers. Don't go for H77 or B75 if you want to overclock.

Power Supply
Stick to a good brand such as Corsair, Antec, XFX, Seasonic. You need about 450W to run this as standard, 500-550W to run a good overclock and 650W+ if you want to SLI and overclock.

RAM
12-16GB of DDR3-1600 or DDR3-1866. Look for sticks that have a CAS rating of 9 or lower. Only get 1866 if the price isn't too much more. The benefits are quite low over 1600.

Case is really a choice you have to make.

Hope that helps.

I'm just getting into video editing. Why did you recommend 3 monitors? Thanks.
