So I'm looking to build a new rig, seriously considering the Asus P8Z77-V Le Plus, the Intel i7-3770K, and some decent RAM, like the G. Skill Ripjaw X Series.

My concern is whether an after market cooler fan will block one of the RAM slots. Wondering if anyone's got some experience with the subject, and if so, what cooler to consider.

People will sometimes let you know in reviews on newegg whether the ram they bought blocks or not their aftermarket cooler. Otherwise, get low profile RAM (it often says in the product name itself) to make sure and it'll fit.

Pretty much any ram that doesn't have excessively high heatsinks (like the corsair vengeance series) will fit under the heatsinks (unless you're buying a really low profile heatsink)

But ya. The Ripjaw X series will fit under everything that's not a low profile heatsink.
