Although my current 670 2GB is pretty fast, I play games at 2560x1440 so I could always use something faster. If I'm going to upgrade would it be better to buy a second 670 for SLI, or to sell my 670 and get a 780?

GTX670 SLI

NVidia's Cost to performance really sucks at the moment with the GTX780 and Titan

The GTX770 will be releasing soon for the same spec as the GTX680 but a little cheaper. I'm sure at the point the GTX titan and GTX780 will also lower their price. For now, people will continue to pay inflated prices.

Anything like Tri-SLi or Quad-SLI, I would then sell your cards for an upgrade. Tri-SLi and Quad-SLi drivers really suck

GTX 670 SLI > GTX 780.

Unless you plan to sell your existing GTX 670 and use the money saved up for a GTX 780, I wouldn't bother. The GTX 780 is about 20% better than a GTX 670 for a $250 price increase. So that's about $12.50 per percentage increase.

I will bother only if you go below 30 - 40 FPS and both 670 and 780 are much over this FPS so you won`t see any difference of 670 SLI

If you are FPS lover then 670 SLI will outperform 780 that`s why i advise you to stay what you got and wait 780 price fall ...... that will inevitably happen

I have a Gigabyte GTX 670 setup on a i5 3570K and I would recommend going for a second GTX 670 instead of saving for a 780 with out a second thought. I run on a triple Asus 27" monitor setup at 5760x1080 and have no problems at all maintaining a steady 60fps Vsync'd with max/ultra settings. That is the main reason I can't see buying a 780 I already have a setup that can handle any game I though at it with room to spare.

Maybe when the price comes down from the clouds I might consider getting a 780 but at the current price it is at least $200 to high. Personally I feel you already have the best price-performance based card that Nvidia has to offer and adding a second card just makes it all the more better.

The really kicker is that on games that only run at 1080p instead of 5760x1080 a single GTX 670 is more than enough to play even at max/ultra settings at least at 60fps so what would a 780 give me that I do not already have?
