Hey everyone,

I am a little stumped here. I have a custom PC, but unfortunately I have to connect to the internet through Wifi because the modem is upstairs.

I have a Netgear N150M USB Wifi adapter. This week the internet connection slowed from close to 15 MB/s down to 3-8 MB/s down monitored by Speedtest. I did the same on my phone and I got close to 20 MB/s down. I bought a new Wifi adapter thinking maybe the other one went bad, but got the same result. I updated the drivers and still nothing.

Are there any settings that I can try and change to fix the problem. Any other ideas as to what is going on? Thanks everyone!

sounds like your ISP is throttling your connection. i'd contact them but the chances they'll give you your bandwidth back is slim to none.

That doesn't make sense because the connection isn't throttled on my phone or the computer upstairs. How could they isolate my one computer and throttle it's connection?
