Hey, my PC has been freezing as of late when I've been playing newer games. I've played some of these games before with no problems, but recently, this issue started happening. This isn't my video, but exactly the noise my computer is making when it freezes -> http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KmJFVgOg34E ...only in that video, he still has an image on his screen. I get a black screen when this happens.
The only way to turn my computer off is holding down the power button when this happens to restart.
PC specs ->
i5-2500k @ Default
GTX 560ti 448 cores graphics card
8 GB DDR3 Memory
1 TB HD
Windows 7 Pro 64bit
850W PSU
Games I play without any problems:
World of Warcraft
Neverwinter
Counter-Strike:GO
Skyrim
Games that have frozen my computer on me:
Battlefield 3
Sniper Elite 2
Bioshock Infinite
Far Cry 3
Does anybody know what could be causing this issue? I've read the other threads here regarding this, but nothing has fixed my issue. I've tried not allowing applications to take control of my soundcard, reinstalling my graphics drivers, and I have ran defrags + cleanups on my hard drive.
The temp my GPU gets to is around 65c. I've even tried manually increasing the fan speed on the GPU to about 75%.
