Okay so I have just installed windows 7 ultimate 64bit and for some reason my ram only shows up at 4gb when I have 2x4gb sticks. I figured that one of my sticks was dead so I unplugged it and it went down to 2gb. So how come my ram is being halved? When I look in speccy it says that there is 4gb total pysical and 8gb total virtual.
My specs are
Motherboard: Asus M4A88TD-M EVO
Ram: 2x4gb corsair Dominator
CPU: AMD Phenom II X4 965 Black edition

Nope just did a fresh install of 64bit on it. Could it be an update is needed I've updated the bios with the most recent drivers I thought but could it just be a windows update I'm missing? I've also gone and made sure that the mapping is enabled.
