I am purchasing the iPad 5 when released and will be getting a 15.6 (very unlikely a 13.3) ultrabook with a haswell processor when released for college. I am looking for a backpack (preferably black) with a pocket for laptop/binders and books, a 2nd pocket for binders and books, and a third-fourth with iPad holder. I currently have the 2 big pocket LL. Bean backpack and love the layout, but no laptop slot or even iPad.

Shame you're going with the overpriced, rigid apple stuff.

moneys not a concern and i went with an iphone 5 instead of an s4 and will be getting the 5s so im not going to get an android tab and buy all new apps instead of having my ipad coincide with my existing apps

Personally I just use an old kensington backpack with a "hybrid" notebook/binder with my samsung chromebook in a protective sleeve in the laptop slot and my books in the large pocket. Keeps it nice, secure, organized and never felt the need for anything more.

I can't think of anything that would have 2 slots/pockets for a laptop/tablet than again I haven't looked at these backpacks in years so things may have changed. But you may end up having to do what I do and just put them in the same area. And if you find a backpack you like but still want additional padding on the bottom for bumps when you put it down you can do what I did and use some styrofoam pellets neatly wrapped in an old cloth and stuff it in at the bottom of the area you put the laptop in.
